Happy Halloween!
The Reverend Henry Kane (Nathan Davis) from Poltergeist freaked me out to the max. I don't think there has ever been an actor that scared me so terribly. I would have to say the Exorcist would run a close second in the scare department. Here is a site with Poltergeist III makeup and sketches..before makeup he looks like a friendly man ... - IMDB says Nathan Davis, but others say Julian Beck...

oh no! the Rev has his own Reverand Kane myspace page..

Has NY Become the Art of the Impossible for Young Artists?
I would have to say..umm...yes. Our jobs are considered a toss away..freelance..hire em an' fire em. Take what you can get out of them and then get some student to be an intern for a few months. It has become nothing more than a sweatshop. I can't speak for everyone but this is what I have noticed over the past ten years. All of the people I went to school with...only one person is working full time and they do not live in a large city. Who can afford to live in the city anyway.....not on my salary.

Sorry I couldn't resist..this shoulder puppet is just hilarious..check out the mini movie lol!
I also read Edward Scissorhands will be coming to the stage in San Franciso this month in a dance form thanks to Matthew Bourne.
I was sucked into buying the November issue of W magazine..the art issue..I can't see how a painting could run into the range of $16,000. Who determines this price? In the article "Art Search" it stated "...the demand for pieces by star talents is so great". My answer to this is..I haven't seen anything that is unique enough to be called a "star talent". Everything seems to be a reproduce mix up...a blender of styles...like music is at this point in time. A robotic version of past work. Maybe the new style IS a reproduction of other styles? I predict an "amish" way of living and creating. Back to basics.

I remember on PBS there was a little short animation called Teeny Little Super Guy who would move around in a clear cup. I would wait for this to come on with anticipation. Check out Wikipedia for more tidbits of info. Here is the creator of Teeny Little Super Guy Paul Fierlinger.
